Mookie lived on her own and afraid at the Tillamook Creamery for over three years before being rescued and brought to safety. She would not allow anyone near her. At some point, her leg had been broken in four places and she had endured the pain and healed it on her own. Mookie was lured into a humane trap and brought to Portland. Upon exiting the trap, a dog trainer who accompanied us to welcome Mookie, “Sit, Mookie.” And Mookie promptly sat down. Imagine our shock! Once in a quiet home, she blossomed into a sweet girl who loved attention.
