Angel is an example of the most common injury that happens to long bodied dogs with short little legs. They jump or fall, and rupture the discs in their backs. Surgery for this injury is very expensive, and sadly, many people drop their dog off at the shelter for euthanasia, rather than paying for the surgery. The best solution for this problem is to only adopt these little stubby legged dogs into homes with no stairs, and no small children who might accidentally drop them, or the dog may jump from their arms. Adopting a pet proactively adds up to a much happier ending!
